It’s hard to believe we’re heading into the Christmas season once again, after what we are sure will be the most unusual year most of us have ever experienced! Whilst the pandemic has forced all of us to change the way we do things, working with all of our partners we have continued to deliver high quality, affordable homes, right the I way through the year.
Despite the pandemic sales have also remained strong, with enquiries continuing to outstrip supply, and we head into Christmas with a number of properties are already sold subject to contract ready for completions early in the New Year.
We are also delighted to have been able to continue to expand our work for other housing associations and local authorities, including Babergh Mid Suffolk Councils, bringing forward 350 new homes in addition to our work for our shareholders, with the first completions for these anticipated in the first quarter of 2021.
We are proud to have continued with our support for Emmaus throughout 2020 and will continue this throughout 2021. Unfortunately due to Covid-19 one of our project managers, Nathan Cole had to postpone running the London Marathon until 2022, so far he has raised an amazing £2138! As we have done in recent years, in lieu of Christmas Cards we will be making a donation to Emmaus UK.

Whilst inevitably the pandemic will likely be the first thing that comes into people’s minds, at Iceni we will also remember the exciting creation of Eastlight Community Homes, all of the new properties that we have built for our customers that are now providing great quality homes for families across the region, and the amazing way that businesses and individuals have adapted to continue to provide their services remotely and virtually.
Whilst I am sure that there are many lessons and ways of working that we will take from this time, we do look forward to hopefully being able to see a few more of our friends and partners in person as we move through 2021! So on behalf of Iceni I would like to take this chance to thank all of those who we have been working with through the year for your support and partnership, we wish you a peaceful and safe break over the Christmas period, and look forward to continuing to work with you in the new year.”
